Geospatial Software opens European headquarters in The Hague, joins Dutch high-tech ecosystem

Canadian geospatial software company Compusult has expanded its presence in the Netherlands by opening its European headquarters in The Hague. Driven by the Dutch Investment Network, the new location in the Dutch high-tech ecosystem will enable Compusult to provide more effective support to its client, NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI).

"This strategic decision will enable us to better serve NATO and lay the foundation for more business in Europe and around the world," said Barry O’Rourke, Compusult's president.

Invest in Dutch network to help overseas companies do business in the Netherlands
To develop geospatial technology for NCI institutions, Compusult decided to open a European headquarters. After consideration, the company chose the Netherlands due to the important influence of the NCI agency in The Hague.

Soon, the Canadian Embassy in the Netherlands began participating in Compusult's expansion plan. The embassy first called for support for InnovationQuarter, a regional economic development agency in the larger Rotterdam-Hague region. Through its soft landing program for The Hague, InnovationQuarter is passionate about helping Compusult expand into the Dutch high-tech ecosystem.

As part of the Dutch Investment Network, InnovationQuarter then worked with the Dutch Foreign Investment Agency to assist Compusult in the process of selecting a location and doing business in the Netherlands.

"We have been doing business outside Canada for many years and have spent a lot of time in Europe. Opening a new office is a natural process," said Compusult vice president Paul Mitten.
