Domino's pizza expands in the Netherlands

U.S. restaurant chain opens new distribution center and relocates Dutch headquarters to New Holla​nd

Domino's Pizza, a restaurant chain in the United States, continues to grow in the Dutch agricultural/food industry. The multinational food company will open a new distribution center and relocate its Dutch headquarters to New Eve, Utrecht. Domino's will supply fresh produce and ingredients from its new location in the Neutwegein business park Het Klooster to its 400 restaurants in the Benelux region.

Dutch agriculture/food industry has more employee space and improved distribution capabilities


Domino decided to move its Dutch headquarters from Gorinchem to Nieuwegein in order to provide more space for employees and increase its distribution capacity as it develops in the Benelux market. In addition, the pizza delivery company will purchase its own dough and deliver fresh vegetables, tomato paste and other ingredients from the new distribution center. All in all, Domino will employ about 250 workers at the headquarters and new distribution center of the new Dutch headquarters as part of the Dutch agricultural/food industry.

"In order to promote the further development of dominoes, the Benelux countries have looked for a spacious location where the head office and distribution center can be placed under a roof," said Misja Vroom, CEO of the Dominican Benelux countries. . "In addition, we have been looking for a central location, and being close to big cities is an advantage. This makes Nieuwegein's Het Klooster the best location."
